Innovative Teaching Grants

NLRPEF GRANT INFORMATION

TIMELINE
Grants will be awarded annually.  Are you a single teacher looking to apply?  The Mini/individual Grants are just for you!  They will be awarded up to $500.  Are you a team looking to apply together?  The Collaborative/Team Grants are best for you and will be awarded up to $1000.

  1. ​On Monday, August 4, 2025, the grant application and grant information will be posted on the North Little Rock Public Education Foundation website (www.nlrpef.org).​

  2. Friday, September 19, 2025 is the deadline to submit applications

  3. Wednesday, September 24, 2025, grant application review meeting.

  4. Wednesday, October 1, 2025, grant recipients will be notified.

  5. Friday, May 15, 2026, deadline to submit grant status reports.

GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES

  1. Each person listed on a collaborative grant MUST be involved in the development and implementation of the grant proposal. 

  2. Please notify your principal and/or supervisor that there are no other existing funds available for funding the proposed project before submitting the proposal. 

  3. Applications MUST target innovative teaching techniques to improve academic achievement. Innovative teaching techniques aim to make learning more engaging, student-centered, and effective. They often involve active participation, critical thinking, and real-world applications. These grants are not intended to provide a one-time learning opportunity, but should make an impact for years to come. 

  4. Grant requests for clubs, transportation, field trips, and clothing merchandise will not be considered for funding. 

APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. All applications must be submitted online.  The application can be found by clicking on the connection at the top of this page. 

  2. Follow the directions and submit a completed application. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. 

  3. Any questions should be forwarded to the Foundation on the "Contact Us" page. They will be responded to as received. 

  4. Upon submitting a proposal, please email a copy of the grant to your building principal to complete the submission process. 

GRANT STATUS REPORTS 

  1. Each funded grant MUST have a report submitted by May 15, 2026.

  2. The report should include:
    - A description of how the grant accomplished its goals regarding student achievement. 
    - An explanation of how the NLRPEF was recognized (stickers, acknowledgments, etc.).
    - Receipts for all items purchased.

  3. Grant winners MUST include evidence of academic achievement through photos, student work, etc.

  4. Any unspent funds should be returned to the NLRPEF at PO BOX 95165 North Little Rock, AR 72190.

  5. Grant money must be used during the current school year.

  6. Reports may be submitted online here.
